Casey Hurrell joined the CCSN Board and as a Curriculum Committee Member for the CCSN Seat at the Table Project for almost 3 years. She is now in the Secretary position.

Casey has a PhD in the History of Medicine from Queen’s University and is the Manager of Research and Policy Development for the Canadian Association of Radiologists.

Casey has won many awards including the Queen’s University Department of History Teaching Fellow Award, the Roger Hertog Prize from Columbia University, and the Carleton University Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

Casey lives in Ottawa with her husband Ewan and cat Cosmo. In her spare time, she is an avid quilter, adventurous cook, and voracious reader.
