AYA CAN – Canadian Cancer Advocacy is a peer-led national organization which advocates for equitable and integrative care for all Adolescents and Young Adults (AYAs) affected by cancer. It was founded in 2018 by a group of AYA cancer survivors who wanted to build a diverse network of researchers, health professionals and community organizations to communicate and share information about the work being done for AYA cancers and AYA cancer patients across Canada.
Now with over 125 stakeholders, AYA CAN is recruiting patient ambassadors and continues to host tri-annual community calls (February, May & October), providing the cancer research and treatment community with a new opportunity to present research initiatives and support innovations to this unique demographic, which aim to promote accessibility, care, and survivorship for AYAs affected by cancer.
