A U of T surgeon-scientist is developing technology that could reduce lung cancer diagnostic wait times from weeks to minutes. Discover the research and the people behind it at a special documentary screening and discussion.
Join us for a special screening of Doctor, Doctor: The Race to Fight Lung Cancer, a short documentary following University of Toronto surgeon-scientist Dr. Kazuhiro Yasufuku and his team’s efforts to transform lung cancer diagnosis. Featuring Dr. Andrew Sage and other researchers from U of T’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine, the film offers a behind-the-scenes look at the research, collaboration and determination driving this potentially life-saving innovation.
Directed and produced by U of T alumni Kevin Li and Jonathan Qu, the documentary explores the human stories behind scientific discovery and the importance of earlier cancer diagnosis.
Following the screening, join the researchers and filmmakers for a Q&A moderated by Cindy Pom, founder and host of Newsthink.
