Wilms’ tumour (also called nephroblastoma) starts in the kidney. There are two kidneys in the body, one on either side of the spine under the lower ribs, deep inside the upper part of the abdomen. They are part of the urinary system.
For additional information on Wilms’ Tumour, please go to the Canadian Cancer Society Cancer Encyclopedia.
The Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation (USA)
The Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation (CCBF), through its support of the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, has created a standard of excellence in the treatment of children with chronic, life-threatening blood disorders since 1952. We are the oldest and largest charitable organization in the U.S. dedicated to the care of children with cancer and blood disorders. Over the years, CCBF has helped the Division grow into one of the most comprehensive programs of its kind.
