World Shuvit Cancer Day is marked every July 10th. The day was created in memory of Elaine Shallcross, a woman diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. During her cancer journey, she raised money for breast cancer research by learning to do a “shuv-it” move on a skateboard, despite no previous experience. Unfortunately, Shallcross passed away from her cancer in 2020, but people still raise money for research in her memory.
