On #GivingTuesday, you showed us that you wanted to help make a difference in the lives of patients, survivors and their families through providing educational webinars on our website & working diligently to give survivors a voice at the board table through our Seat the the Table program.
This holiday season, we continue to ask your assistance in pursuing our mission of giving patients, caregivers, survivors and their families a voice and a place at cancer-related decision tables across the country. Seat at the Table
The objective of the Canadian Cancer Survivor Network’s A Seat at the Table program is to increase the number of informed cancer patients, survivors and caregivers sitting on cancer and other healthcare Boards, committees and research peer review committees where decisions are being made about cancer diagnosis, treatment, post-treatment care and research funding.
We want to continue finding the best possible avenues across Canada for these individuals to access educational resources and to be given a voice.
CCSN’s Free Webinar Series
The CCSN webinar series is of interest to patients, survivors, family, friends, caregivers, and any member of the community interested in the best possible care and follow-up for cancer patients and survivors. The impact of volunteering and taking positive action to effect change are important elements in the transition to post-treatment life.
We want to continue providing our free online webinar series, to provide education regarding the best possible care and follow-up for cancer patients and survivors.
#WreathSelfie
On top of sharing our initiatives with you, we want you to share your best #WreathSelfie with us, along with your own stories of survival and hope!
Here’s what you do:
- Find a wreath!
- Take a selfie! Check out our example below.
- Share a story of your own about why YOU would like to see more patients and survivors given a voice.
- Post to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtags #WreathSelfie and #CCSN so that we see it!
Throughout the rest of this month, we’ll be sharing more information about A Seat at the Table and some throwbacks to our 2017 webinars.
