Catherine Wong is CCSN’s Health Promotion Educator, with a Master in Public Health from the University of Manchester.
Catherine promotes the validity of the patient voice in health care. She builds the patient community through educational initiatives and a variety of educational experiences to prepare patients, survivors, and caregivers for increasing opportunities available to participate in healthcare decision-making bodies.
Catherine administers the Curriculum Committee, working with subject matter experts, patients/survivors, and technical consultants to develop CCSN’s on-line e-learning modules for cancer patients, and she can also be found planning such events as World Cancer Day, National Survivor’s Day and writing web and blog material as well as tweets to keep patients/survivors up to date, and liaising with Public Policy to further our educational outreach.
Catherine recently took up baking as a hobby, and loves animals.
