Presenter Information

Dr. Peter L. Gross obtained his MSc in Biochemistry and his MD from the University of Toronto.  He did his Core Internal Medicine training in Toronto.  He did his Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Teaching Hospital.  He was Clinician Scientist in the Department of Medicine at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto from 2003 to 2007.  He is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology and Thromboembolism at McMaster University, Hamilton and the Thrombosis Clinic Director at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.

Dr. Gross’s basic science laboratory at the Thrombosis and Atherosclerosis Research Institute (TaARI) focuses on models of thrombosis and hemostasis, and biomarkers for these conditions. Dr. Gross is also is involved in various capacities in clinical trials in venous thrombosis. He is also a member of the Canadian Hemophilia Foundation Research Advisory Board.
