The Canadian Frailty Priority Setting Partnership

Research is vital to finding better ways to improve the health and quality of life for people living with frailty. This study, the Canadian Frailty Priority Setting Partnership, aims to identify priority areas for Canadian researchers and research funding organizations.

To do this, the study is asking Canadians what they believe are the important questions related to care, support and treatment for frail older adults. The research questions identified by you and others completing this questionnaire will be prioritized to produce the “top ten” Canadian frailty research priorities. This study follows the methods of the James Lind Alliance, a non-profit organization based in England

Your participation is extremely important; by participating in this study, you can help inform future research priorities for the Canadian Frailty Network (CFN). The research priorities identified in this study will also be shared with researchers and other research funding organizations so that they can address what matters most to Canadians affected by frailty.

Who can participate in this study?

  • The study would like to hear from:
  • Older adults who are concerned about frailty
  • Friends, family and caregivers of frail older adults
  • Health and social care providers (e.g., doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, personal support workers, pharmacists, social workers, etc.) who work with frail older adults and/or can advocate for them.

But you must live in Canada to take part.
