Advanced Prostate Cancer Treatment and Research

(OTTAWA, ONTARIO) Prostate Cancer Canada Network Ottawa (PCCNO) also known as Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa is giving a $25,000 gift to the Ottawa Hospital, earmarked for Advanced Prostate Cancer Treatment and Research. This donation will assist the dedicated prostate cancer team to centralize care for men facing advanced prostate cancer and develop care pathways to improve access to diagnostic tests and novel therapy. Funding received for this project will also be used to support research with increased access to clinical trials and will improve patient care in the region.

Over 25,000 men in Canada are diagnosed every year with prostate cancer. Five thousand of them will die from the disease this year alone. PCCN Ottawa strongly believes that this Clinic is essential in actively supporting men currently dealing with prostate cancer and taking steps toward finding a cure.
