National Non-Smoking Week

This week (January 15-21 2018) is National Non-Smoking Week in Canada.

Weedless Wednesday (recognized on the Wednesday of National Non-Smoking Week) is a day when smokers are urged to butt out with the intention of kick-starting the process of quitting smoking.
Focusing media and public attention on the benefits of cessation and the community resources available to help smokers quit, the idea behind Weedless Wednesday is to promote a “one day at a time” approach to quitting smoking.

According to statistics from Lung Cancer Canada, smoking accounts for 30% of all cancer deaths, and 85% of all lung cancers are caused by smoking.
45,000 Canadians die from smoking-related deaths each year.

Today, join the Canada-wide movement to kick the habit for a healthier you!
