WHAT IS CANCER WELLNESS AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

  • Cancer Wellness, also known as psychosocial care, is a whole-person approach to wellness. It complements traditional medicine by addressing the person’s emotional, spiritual and physical needs to help them live well

  • It empowers people living with cancer to make concrete behavioral, spiritual and physical changes to help them live well with cancer.

  • 1 in 2 Canadians is expected to develop cancer in their life; most don’t know that cancer wellness centres exist to help them live well.
