This webinar was titled What are the parties saying about healthcare & cancer?, and took place on Thursday, October 15th from 1:00pm EDT – 2:00pm EDT. It was moderated by Gerry Jeffcott of 3Sixty Public Affairs. |
|
The webinar started with a review of the responses from each of the federal political parties received by CCSN to its federal election questionnaire. Insights were also provided about each party’s health care platform with an emphasis on how those positions might affect cancer care. That analysis was followed by commentary from two veteran cancer patient advocates: Colleen Savage of the Cancer Advocacy Coalition of Canada and Kathy Barnard of the Save Your Skin Foundation, who discussed their interpretations of the party positions and what they might mean for patients and the cancer care after the election.
