Throughout 2015 the Canadian Cancer Survivor Network (CCSN) is offering a series of webinars designed to give you information to help you engage on important issues facing patients and caregivers.

This week's webinar is titled how prescription drugs are approved in Canada, and took place on Thursday, April 2nd, from 1:00pm EDT – 2:00pm EDT.

The webinar will be co-hosted by Bill Dempster and Gerry Jeffcott of 3Sixty Public Affairs.  The webinar will provide insight into how the drug approval process affects what prescription drugs are available to patients in Canada.  The presentation will be followed by an interactive question and answer session. The presentation will cover the following topics:
  • Who is responsible for prescription drug approval in Canada?
  • How does the drug approval process impact patient access to medication?
  • How can patients be involved in the drug approval process?
Presenter Profiles

Bill Dempster, 
co-founder of 3Sixty Public Affairs Inc., is a seasoned health and pharmaceutical policy expert who works with a range of clients to navigate complex political, policy, regulatory and reimbursement challenges.
Gerry Jeffcott is a senior associate at 3Sixty Public Affairs who has almost 25 years of health and pharmaceutical policy experience.  He is a recognized expert in the Canadian reimbursement review and approval process for new medications and a sought after commentator on relevant policy questions.
