On Thursday, June 16 CCSN held a webinar titled: “Private Insurance Plans: Do they have a future in Canada?” This webinar provided a background to the role of private drug insurance plans in Canada and pricing regulations impacting these plans.
It also included a description and analysis of the impact on access of recent developments in private insurance plan programs and policies intended to contain costs and ensure sustainability in an era of high cost medications and increasing drug utilization.
Presenter Profile
Louise Binder is a lawyer who has been involved in informing the development of health policy and systemic treatment access practices from a patient perspective for more than 20 years. She is presently Health Policy Consultant for the Canadian Cancer Survivor Network.
