CCSN President & CEO Jackie Manthorne and CCSN Board Secretary Mona Forrest had the opportunity to meet with Ontario Progressive Conservative Health CriticJeff Yurek on February 13. Topics discussed included gaps in cancer care and services to men living with metastatic prostate cancer; short, medium and long term side effects faced by survivors caused by cancer or cancer treatment; and HPV testing for cervical cancer. MPP Yurek has been given the responsibility of preparing the PC Party’s position on national pharmacare, and invited CCSN to provide input on this topic as well as on other healthcare and cancer care policies which will be developed by the PC Party starting in March.
