Nous sommes heureux de dire que les patients atteints du cancer \u00e2g\u00e9s de 16\u00a0ans ou plus ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inclus dans la cat\u00e9gorie de ceux qui ont des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 sous-jacents. Toute personn<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">e ayant r\u00e9cemment re\u00e7u un diagnostic de cancer <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">ou qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 trait\u00e9e pour son cancer durant cette ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re a eu l\u2019occasion de prendre un rendez-vous une fois que la phase\u00a02B a commenc\u00e9, ce qui devait \u00eatre le cas en avril.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">En mars\u00a02021, le R\u00e9seau canadien des survivants du cancer a rencontr\u00e9 six d\u00e9put\u00e9s dans la province, notamment le porte-parole du NPD en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9, le d\u00e9put\u00e9\u00a0Shepherd, afin de partager les r\u00e9sultats de notre COVID-19 and Cancer Care Disruption Wave 2\u00a0Survey (Sondage sur la COVID-19 et la perturbation des soins oncologiques durant<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\"> la 2e\u00a0vague<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">). Pendant nos r\u00e9unions, nous avons discut\u00e9 des d\u00e9fis uniques auxquels les patients atteints du cancer, les proches aidants, et les survivants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9s durant la pand\u00e9mie notamment les difficult<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">\u00e9s associ\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019acc\u00e8s <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">aux soins oncologiques essentiels et les pr\u00e9occupations li\u00e9es \u00e0 la contraction de la COVID-19 dans un milieu hospitalier. Nous avons \u00e9galement parl\u00e9 du besoin d\u2019inclure explicitement les patients atteints du cancer, les survivants et les proches aidants dans la prochaine phase du d\u00e9roulemen<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">t de la vaccination<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">. La d\u00e9cision d\u2019accorder la priorit\u00e9 aux patients atteints du cancer durant la phase\u00a02B contribuera grandement \u00e0 r\u00e9duire l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 des patients atteints du cancer au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e \u00e9coul\u00e9e. En outre, les patients atteints de cancer auront un sentiment de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 lorsqu\u2019ils re\u00e7oivent des services de soins de sant\u00e9 et des traitements vitaux.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">Nous exhortons le gouvernement\u00a0d\u2019Alberta \u00e0 envisager \u00e9galement de donner la priorit\u00e9 aux survivants du cancer dont le syst\u00e8me immunitaire est affaibli, ainsi qu\u2019aux proches aidants des patients atteints de cancer. Cela permettrait de prot\u00e9ger davantage une population vuln\u00e9rable.
