This event is put on by Healthcare Excellence Canada.
Join us for two new virtual learning events to explore practical approaches to addressing inequity within healthcare organizations and systems.
Beginning in May, these sessions will help you develop an understanding of approaches that help foster more equitable and inclusive engagement with a broad diversity of people in the health system. Participants will explore practical approaches and instructive case studies, guided by a diverse set of speakers.
Session 1: Stories from the Field – Inclusive Engagement
May 2, 2023 (12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. ET)
Learn how the UNITE project addressed stigma faced by people living with mental health and substance use challenges, and how Equity-Mobilizing Partnerships in the Community (EMPaCT) supports people implementing projects to learn from people with diverse lived experiences and be more inclusive.
Session 2: Stories from the Field – Inclusive Care
June 6, 2023 (12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. ET)
Explore how Doctors of the World helps ensure access to healthcare for people who are excluded or in vulnerable situations, and how Caring Community paired primary care providers with a peer support worker to respond to the unique challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness in Montreal during the pandemic.
These sessions are part of HEC’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Virtual Learning Exchange. You can register for both events using a single sign-up form. Recordings will be shared by email with everyone who registers.
