Find Your Ride Experience
Join Terry Foxers far and wide as we ride and raise funds for cancer research!
The origins of the Ride of Hope date back to 2015 when Terry’s brother Darrell Fox, together with 5 friends, decided to create a cycling challenge by riding 350km to Mount Terry Fox in northern BC for the 35th year.
In 2021, Darrell and his team of 18 riders in British Columbia covered 410 km over 13 hours in celebration of the 41st anniversary of Terry’s iconic Marathon of Hope. Darrell is now looking to expand the Ride of Hope across Canada and engage avid cyclists throughout the country to lead their own amazing team challenge/experience in 2022.
Terry ran all day, every day for 143 days. We ride all day, one day. We are humbled and inspired by Terry’s commitment to dig deep simply to help others. The intent of the Terry Fox Ride of Hope is to offer participants a unique experience and challenge where riders come together to encourage and assist each other. The focus and goal, consistent with Terry’s dream and wishes, is to raise additional funding for cancer research.
Whether it is a group ride, solo cycling journey, or ambitious biking adventure, the Ride of Hope is a collection of different ride experiences organized by volunteers across the country who want to go the distance to make a difference, just as Terry did.
