It’s that time of the year again. We are raising funds for our prostate cancer support group. We hope you can support us.
The money raised is used to cover expenses for our programs of support for prostate cancer patients and their families. This is our only fundraising activity of the year.
Our support group, Prostate Cancer Support Toronto (PCST) is now celebrating our 30th anniversary having evolved under various names from Man to Man to Prostate Cancer Canada Network Toronto. We are now part of Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada (PCFC), which is the national umbrella organization.
They have been running a Father’s Day Walk/Run for 26 years, and have offered our support groups the same 50% deal that they did last year. Since PCFC is a registered charity, they can issue tax receipts. Half of what our team raises comes back to us to support our programs (Visit www.pcstoronto.ca for details), and half goes to resources to support other individuals and groups, many of which are small and located in smaller communities. (Some of what PCFC raises also goes to research.)
