The Colorectal Cancer Resource and Action Network (CCRAN) is responding to the growing number of young patients seeking support, education, and advocacy for advanced colorectal cancer by hosting its first of three symposia on June 17, 2021 on the topic of early age onset colorectal cancer (EAOCRC). Over the course of these three symposia, CCRAN will educate about and plan a response to the rising incidence of colorectal cancer in adults under 50.
This first symposium will be co-chaired by two highly-regarded experts: Dr. Shady Ashamalla, Head, Division of General Surgery & Minimally Invasive Surgical Oncology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre; and Dr. Sharlene Gill, Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia; with the support of an outstanding expert advisory committee.
All interested persons from the medical community, including patients, family physicians, researchers, and policy makers, are encouraged to register and attend. More information, including a full schedule, is available on the event registration page.
