The Canadian Health Coalition (CHC) is holding a webinar on the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. The talk will be with the new President of the Canadian Medical Association, Dr. Alika Lafontaine, the first Indigenous president of the organization. The discussion will revolve around addressing systemic racism in health care.
Dr. Lafontaine is an anesthesiologist from Grand Prairie, Alberta and is active with the Indigenous Health Alliance. Dr. Lafontaine is committed to health transformation and eliminating racism and discrimination in healthcare. He is also a member of over a dozen committees and boards related to Indigenous Health.
The event is hosted by Anne Legracé Dowson of the CHC. The talk will happen at 12 PM on Zoom.
