On January 27th, 2017 Brock University will be giving a youth voice of support to rare disease groups. They will be hosting a media conference in Guernsey Market located below the Brock Library, where there will be a panel discussing how everyone can create a better system for pharmaceuticals in Canada and how having a orphan drug plan is crucial to include in our health system.
The conference will include speeches, a panel discussion and Q&A with the invited media. Some of panel with include a representative from Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders (CORD), and a member of Prime Minister Trudeau’s Health Committee. Food and beverage will be included for all guests.
Rare disease advocacy needs a stronger voice, and after talking with Brock students, that if this issue was important to Brock youth then it is important all Canadian’s.
