Diagnosis of Thyroid Cancer

When you hear those three words, “You have cancer”, you may feel overwhelmed with information, unfamiliar terms, treatment methods and your prognosis. Finding reliable information and support may be challenging for you – especially because thyroid cancer isn’t incredibly common.

Diagnosis of Thyroid Cancer exists to inform you or your loved one with useful, basic information to guide you during your cancer journey. This section includes information and resources for screening and diagnosis.

Cancers that form in tissues and organs are more likely to be diagnosed at an earlier stage. As of June 2018, 67% of thyroid cancers were diagnosed at Stage I (1).
