Community Advisory Committee (CAC) members assist in planning, implementing and evaluating initiatives to improve the overall health and well-being of residents in the Western Health region.
Most CACs meet monthly from September to June. Meetings can last for two to three hours and may be held during the day, evening or weekend. Between meetings, there may be specific tasks that members will have to do. Members may also be asked to represent the CAC on another committee or at an event. Committee members may be offered training sessions that will help with the work of the committee. Travel costs will be reimbursed by Western Health.
Western Health’s Community Advisory Committees exist within each team area. To become a CAC member, contact the Primary Health Care Manager nearest you.
