The Patient Voices Network (PVN) is a community of patients, families and caregivers working together with health care partners to improve BC’s health care system. PVN was created in 2009 by the BC Ministry of Health as part of its Patients as Partners strategy, and has been supported by us since December 2015 (read that announcement here).
Every BC resident is invited to join PVN, as each of us has a unique experience of interacting with the health care system and can contribute that perspective to important conversations about care. When patients and health care partners collaborate, the results are improved patient safety, better health outcomes, reduced health care costs, and better decision-making. It leads to better care experiences for patients and care providers. Together, patients and health care partners know best how to improve health care.
