The vision of the Community Advisory Committees (CACs) is a partnership between individuals with lived experience, family members, Fraser Health, and service providers to promote positive systemic change to initiate and enhance the recovery of individuals living with mental illness. The core function of these Committees is to advise Mental Health & Substance Use Services about the attainment of quality services and supports.
There are 12 CACs in the Fraser Health Region: Abbotsford, Burnaby, Chilliwack, Delta, Hope, Langley, Maple Ridge, Mission, New Westminster, Surrey, Tri Cities, and White Rock. The Regional Advisory Committee is made up of representatives (usually the Chair and Secretary) of each CAC and meets on the first Tuesday of each month. CACs also meet monthly.
