So you have cancer… now what? – Managing Illness Related Stress

This 45 minute free presentation from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will discuss the stresses associated with diagnosis, treatment, challenges experienced mentally, and overall coping for the patient and family. It takes place in the Halifax Central Library from 6:30pm – 8pm AST on December 7, 2017.

This is a 45 min FREE presentation for patients, survivors, family/caregivers. Barry Yhard will present on his experience as a survivor of Hodgkin Lymphoma, and coping with stress associated with illness.

Barry will speak to the stresses associated with diagnosis, treatment, challenges experienced mentally, and overall coping for the patient and family. Barry will also provide information on coping strategies for these stressors during and after diagnosis/treatment, drawing on his experience of what worked within his journey, as well as speak to “life after cancer.”
