Project LEAD 2016 - Apply Now

The National Breast Cancer Coalition is happy to announce that they are accepting applications for the July 2016 Project LEAD® Institute.

The National Breast Cancer Coalition has been training breast cancer activists to influence research, advance public policy and drive the adoption of quality standards in health care for more than 20 years. With work underway to achieve Breast Cancer Deadline 2020® the demand for educated advocates is greater than ever.

If you have a serious interest in scientific study and in preparing yourself for participation in the policy-setting and decision-making roles of breast cancer research advocacy, don’t miss this opportunity for outstanding training through NBCC’s July 2016 Project LEAD Institute. The course is challenging and focuses on the basic language and concepts of molecular biology, genetics, clinical trials, epidemiology, research methods and advocacy.

Acceptance to the Project LEAD Institute is a competitive application process so we encourage you to apply now! Space is limited for this unique opportunity and this is the only time in 2016 that the course will be offered. The Institute will be held July 10-15, 2016 in San Diego, CA. The application deadline for the course is April 15, 2016 at 5 PM EST. Scholarships for those in financial need are available. The course is free to NBCC members and annual membership is only $35.

To apply for the course, please complete the application and related forms, and if your membership is not current for this year, complete the membership forms found on our website. We look forward to receiving your application and thank you for your interest in the Project LEAD Institute!

Sincerely,

National Breast Cancer Coalition
