Breast Cancer Action is an Ottawa-based, survivor-directed organization that supports breast cancer patients and their families by providing workshops and raising awareness of the problems, like lymphedema, that can arise because of breast cancer surgery. Its Lymphedema – Take Control project helps to inform breast cancer survivors of risk-reduction strategies.

The Toronto Lymphocare Centre focuses mainly on the prevention, treatment and awareness of lymphedema to patients with lymphedema, those that are at risk of developing the condition, and health-care professionals. Their mission is carried out through workshops, information sessions and conference presentations.
